Goal

Advance gender equality, women’s and girls’ empowerment and reproductive right, including for the most Vulnerable and marginalized women, adolescents and youth.

Objective

Gender Based Violence in Emergency (GBViE) Project aims to Save the Life’s and Dignity of the women and girls from Rohingya communities and host community as well.

Geographical Coverage

23 Rohingya Camps and 8 adjacent host in Union, Ukhiya and Teknaf Upazila under Cox’s Bazar District and Bhasanchar, Hatiya Upazila, Noakhali.

Population coverage

Total= 234000 person (Adolescent Girls: 112320 and Women: 121680)

Objective

Mukti Cox's Bazar contributes towards the CARE Intervention of AHP III by working towards Intermediate outcomes of 1.2 and 2.1 of consortium component.

75000 in Rohingya community

Geographical Coverage

Camp- 11, 12, 14, 15 & 16 under Ukhiya Upazila, Cox’s Bazar

Major activities

  • Training on PSS & CM
  • Mass campaign and day observation
  • Dignity kits distribution for women and girls
  • GBV Prevention and outreach activities conducted
  • Trainings & meetings with community people on power balance
  • Psychosocial support and counseling to women and girls (age 15-49 years)
  • Training on livelihood/IGAs, life-skills and leadership to youth women and girls
  • New girls-shine group formation and continue the performance of COGs and WG Committees.
