Objective

  • To develop employable skills and job linkage for marginalized and disadvantaged adolescents (age 14 to 20) male and female to create a beer opportunity for their livelihood and make them empowered.
  • Poor and disadvantaged adolescents (age 14 to 20) of the host community have gainful employment through –

    (I) Skills training in different trades through Apprenticeship model based on market demand;

    (ii) After successful completion of training link the learners with decent employment or income generating activities (IGA).

Moheshkhali, Chokoria, Cox’s Bazar Sadar and Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar district

Targeted people/beneficiaries

14 years to 20 years age adolescents and youths who are School & College dropped-out adolescent boys & girls, disable youths, transgender and GBV affected women/adolescent girls, widow and single mothers.

Major activities

  • Financial support to MCPs, PLs, TTs and Learners
  • Distribute Devices among PWD people (Selected disabled learners)
  • Job placement of learners after completion of TVET training and follow up.
  • Provide soft-skills training to the selected learners (14-18 years aged adolescents, GBV survivors)
  • Provide training to the selected Master Craft Person (MCP), Peer Leader (PL), and Technical Trainers (TT)
  • Provide Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to the selected learners (14-20 years aged adolescents, GBV survivors)

Prime Objective

To improve women and girls’ access to resources and opportunities by increasing individual and collective capacity through the practice of a transformative leadership within a safe and enabling environment.

Specific Objective

  • Empowerment of women through leadership development.
  • Improve access of women and girls in resources & services.
  • Increase capacity of women and girls providing necessary training.
  • Increase knowledge of women and men on gender issues, GBV, human rights.
  • Increase livelihood and life-skills of women and girls through creating job opportunities.

Whykong Union of Teknaf, Holdyapalong Union of Ukhiya, Zilongja Union & partly Pourashava of Cox’s Bazar Sadar under Cox’s Bazar District.

  • Support for women leaders through a customized program with technical advisory, capacity, linkages and network
  • Provide tools, grants or seed funds for Host community women to start income generations activities and Cash for Work
  • Training on livelihood skills to host community women and adolescent girls and to Rohingya women for CV-19 prevention
  • Support women groups to conduct sanitization sessions on gender, care work, protection, GBV, MHM, RH, GBV, referrals and livelihood
  • Support men groups to organize sanitization sessions on gender, care work, protection, GBV, MHM, RH, GBV, referrals and livelihood-
  • Formation of youth groups and forums for positive masculinizes GBV, early marriage, women’s leadership and participation in community decision-making processes
