Goal

To save lives and prevent irreversible harm among Rohingya refugees and vulnerable host communities in Cox’s Bazar by sustaining essential services, protection and emergency preparedness in a context of reduced humanitarian funding, continued population pressure and recurrent climate-related shocks.

Major Activities

  • Specialized Life-Saving Protection Assistance (cash & voucher) for individuals at heightened risk (e.g. PSNs, GBV survivors, returnee’s combatant, eviction, women and child at risks etc).
  • Coordination and orientation on Specialized Life-Saving Protection Assistance (cash & voucher) identification and implementation across services providers.
  • Coaching and Mentoring to Rohingya RLOs on interpersonal & organizational development, project implementation, safeguarding principles, community-based advocacy.
  • RLO led community initiatives to mitigate (e.g. human trafficking, on/offline gambling, cyber-bullying, events reducing intra-community conflict and tension).
  • Refugee to Refugee Global Virtual Exchange (global Rohingya Diaspora and prominent allies, other RLOs etc.)
  • Linkages of Rohingya RLO networks to implement protection interventions (e.g. Protection monitoring and referral) in camps.
  • Strengthen camp situation protection monitoring and evidence-based advocacy, including Rohingya RLO network to support PM.
  • Rohingya HHs supported with sector approved minimum NFI packages.
  • Linkages of Rohingya CBO networks to implement protection interventions (e.g. Protection monitoring and referral) in camps.
  • Awareness raising sessions on PSEA and safeguarding reporting channels with community structures (e.g. RLO members, CBV, CBCG and others).
