To Ensure Education to the Deprived Rohingya Community Children who are Forcibly Displaced from their Ancestral Land and to ensure compulsory primary education to the deprived Host Community Children through supplementary initiatives in collaboration with the Government of Bangladesh.

Target Population

  • 4,000 Rohingya children and their parents across 40 Learning Centers in camp settings
  • 700 host community children and their parents across 7 Learning Centers in Cox’s Bazar Sadar and Ramu

Host: Cox's Bazar Sadar-ward no-01, Khurushkul Union & Ramu Upazila-Amtolir chora of Khuniya Palong Union.

  • Enrollment of eligible children in 47 Learning Centers (40 in camp and 07 in host community)
  • Delivery of regular, structured classes aligned with the respective curriculum.
  • Distribution of all necessary educational materials.
  • Organization of extracurricular activities to promote creativity, confidence, and social skills.
  • Development and use of digital content and audio-visual lessons to enhance learning.
  • Regular teacher training for Host and Burmese teachers to strengthen pedagogical skills.
  • Provision of first aid kits and WASH materials to ensure a safe and child-friendly learning environment.
  • Conducting focused group discussions with parents, teachers and children.

Objective

  • 42,930 FDMN children aged 4-14 years have access to early learning & informal basic education through 480 learning centers in 9 Rohingya camps at Ukhiya Upazilla.
  • 4,060 FDMN children aged f 11-17 years have access to MC roll out through 60 learning centers in 9 Rohingya camps at Ukhiya Upazilla.
  • Community engagement, supervision and coordination system is in place to ensure inclusive learning opportunity for Rohingya children.
  • Emergency preparedness, response capacity and plan in place to ensure minimum disruption of learning during emergencies including COVID-19 pandemic.
